As you can see, I am a very big NARS fan and I love talking about the brand because the quality is so great.

The NARS Radiant Longwear foundation has been out for quite awhile and reading this review may leave you wondering if this foundation is still relevant. I find that when NARS as a brand makes a product such as a foundation, they make it so that it stands the test of time.

NARS also has their Sheer Glow Foundation that has recently been reformulated so it is likely that the Natural Longwear Radiant foundation is here to stay.

The Packaging of Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

The long tube is not only exciting at the new shape but its appealing to have displayed on your vanity. Typically, NARS older foundations didn’t come with a pump similar to Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation which is another staple of mine (click the link to read). The glory of this product is that it contains a pump! And the most amazing pump ever because it doesn’t let a TON of product come out either.

Applying NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

Because the pump works so well, I can get a whole face coverage out in 1.5 pumps. I typically dab the product onto my face ensuring there are even circles on either side. Then, I take my beauty blender (slightly wet of course) and blend out the dabbed circles. The issue I have with foundations is that in the crevices of the face i.e. around the nose, there are places for the foundation to crack to separate from the skin.

I find that with the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation that doesn’t happen which is a life saver.

I thought throughout the day, my face looked more natural than any other foundation I have tried in the past. It also looked even, not streaky and stayed consistently light.

This foundation is also medium to full coverage being closer to the full coverage side. You can start with medium coverage if you use a damp beauty blender.

If you apply more than one layer to the face you’ll build up to a full coverage foundation.

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation Shades

The NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation comes in 31 different shades. The lightest shade is Oslo which is for the fairest skin with pink under tones. The darkest shade is Zambie Dark 5.

I wish NARS would make darker shades because Zambie isn’t as dark as they could get looking at the swatches on Sephora.

If you are buying online at Sephora, you may want to try the shade finder if you aren’t sure of your Natural NARS shades.

NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation Dupes

Since the NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation is a popular choice, there are a few dupes that I have found.

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation

Maybelline Fit me Dewy + Smooth foundation (or Hydrate + Smooth Foundation) is the closest drugstore dupe to the NARS Raidant Longwear Foundation. The Maybelline Fit Me has a dewy shine but isn’t too oily on the skin and gives a radiant finish similar to NARS.

What Skin Type is NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation Good For?

The NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation is good for both oily skin and dry skin. I say this because this foundation is formulated to have a natural glow to it. However, this doesn’t make the feel too dewy which is sometimes bad for oily skin. It is also great for dry skin again because of the built in radiance that makes this foundation more moisturizing than most longwear foundation.

Which NARS Concealers go well with the Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation?

NARS created their Radiant Creamy Concealer which I think goes perfectly with the Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. There are 30 shades and they recently just expanded the shade range line.

I wear Vanilla in the Radiant Creamy Concealer and it usually lasts me about 6 months. A little bit goes a long way but it is the best at covering dark circles. It compliments the formula and feel of the Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation perfectly so I definitely recommend this concealer from NARS. It comes in the large size for $39 CAD or if you want to try the mini size, you can pick one up for $18 CAD (yes – in all the same shade range!).

The Final Review of the NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation

In short, the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation is my new go to. It is long lasting but not cake-y and glides on evenly. It actually doesn’t take me long to apply in the morning which is a holy grail in my opinion.

NARS has also updated the shade range for the Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. Now, they have in between colours that allow you to find the perfect hue for your skin

The Price of Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

At the $60 CAD at Sephora, it is definitely worth it. I find myself being ok with that price point since it’s a product I know I’ll use everyday.
